MAI TSAI, O.D.

Dr. Mai Tsai joined Tucson Eye Care in May 2010 to provide comprehensive eye care. Dr. Tsai has over 10 years of ophthalmic experience. Of Chinese descent, she grew up in Indiana. She attended the University of Notre Dame where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She then matriculated at the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry where she achieved numerous awards and was inducted in the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Graduating as one of the top of her class in 2001, she received her Doctorate of Optometry degree and set out to provide the best eye care possible by caring for her patients as if they are family.

She has practiced in a variety of settings and is highly trained to diagnosis, treat and manage most ocular diseases and pathology. She works closely with Dr. Kaye in pre- and post-op care as well as monitoring glaucoma patients.

Dr. Tsai is an active member of the Southern Arizona Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Tsai is married with two children and enjoys piano, running and tennis.
