Dr. Sara Frye (Gaib) joined Tucson Eye Care after serving on faculty at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ for five years, where she earned the rank of Associate Professor. During her time at MWU, she was involved in patient care, teaching and clinical research.
Dr. Frye obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia in Canada, after growing up in France. Her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree is from Nova Southeastern University, where she received the Florida Optometric Association Presidential Award upon graduation in 2009. She went on to complete a post-doctoral residency at UC Berkeley. She has a passion for lifelong learning, and is currently working on her Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Frye is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). She has held various leadership positions, including serving as Vice President of the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Optometry.
At Tucson Eye Care, she works closely with surgeons in providing individualized care for patients before and after their eye surgery. She performs diabetic eye exams, in addition to diagnosing and managing various ocular conditions ranging from infections to glaucoma.
Dr. Frye is fluent in French and is passionate about travel, cooking and fitness. She was recently married, so you may remember her as Dr. Gaib.
